Slow draining kitchen sink

Anonymous user - 02/15/2026 - 10:15 AM

My kitchen sink has been draining slowly for a few weeks now. I've tried using a plunger but it hasn't made much difference. Could this be a blockage further down the pipe or something more serious?

A slow drain is usually caused by a partial blockage in the waste pipe. Grease and food residue tend to build up over time. A proper trap clean and flush of the waste line normally sorts it. If the issue is further down the stack, a mechanical clean may be needed.
